In the beginning there was nothing. Light, darkness, time, none of this existed. Within this empty void there lived a Being. Since time had at this point never existed the Being knew neither life nor death. For an eternity, the being floated through the void, barely conscious of its own existence, knowing only isolation. Many a time before had the Being gone through the same process of slowly going mad from the seclusion, only to regain consciousness millennia later. Never before had the Being known sadness. Sadness was a foreign emotion to the being that he had never known. Despite this one day the Being couldn’t take the isolation and actually began to feel saddened for the first time. At first, the Being was scared by this new emotion and tried to suppress it. As the sadness welled up inside him, the Being began to weep. As his tears sprang forth, they began to pool in a single area. For an immeasurable amount of time, the being wept his tears forming vast oceans all around him. One day the Being suddenly stopped weeping. Spent, he fell into a deep sleep. During the Being’s sleep, the waters of the vast ocean began to stir as if something swam beneath them. From the depths ascended another Being. Somehow this Being of Light, as it shimmered brilliantly, had formed solely from the tears of the lonesome being. New to this existence the Being of Light looked around and began to take in his surroundings. Seeing the other Being he blinked and ran over in excitement. Sadly, as he ran over to the being, he realized that the being wasn’t moving. As it turned out, the being had died of exhaustion in its sleep. Saddened, the being of light began to weep for the death of a fallen friend he had never known. Oddly enough the tear this being wept turned instantly to rock and dirt, creating gigantic islands in the ocean that surrounded the Being. From the dirt, sprang other creatures. Animals, such as birds, fish, reptiles, even humans all sprang up from the dust as the Being wept. Eventually, the Being stopped crying. Looking up he was astonished at what he had created. Grinning, he ran over to one of the animals. His grin immediately disappeared as he realized that the animal showed no signs of life and was completely motionless. Time had not yet been created but from his tears, a great thing had happened. A new being had appeared offering to give him the gift of time with one condition. If time were to start, the being would eventually die. Not realizing the implementations of this the being immediately agreed; thus’ time started and day and night were created. Immediately, the being began to age rapidly. Realizing that he would not live much longer, he bowed his head and slept. Thus the world had been created by the three beings of water, light, and time.
